“My travel obsession began during a cross-cultural studies course in Barbados. The picturesque island, vibrant culture, and genuine warmth of the locals left me eager to experience more of this planet. After college, I was lucky to work a long career in business management consulting, which funded extensive exploration of six continents and built my travel proficiency.
Having mastered solo, group, couples, and honeymoon travel across two decades, I was surprised to learn that it’s quite different with tiny humans in tow. I’ve spent years since perfecting family travel with my two children and now have it down to a science, including multi-generational trips.
Luxury travel planning is an expertise that I’ve developed through first-hand experience and dedicated training, and it’s my pleasure to assist others in their global pursuits. I’m here as your partner as you explore the world, with ease, during all stages of life.”
Most Memorable Travel Experience: My standout travel experience was a solo trip to Bhutan. Staying at three of the five Aman lodges across the Kingdom, I got a deep dive into Bhutanese culture - dining in a local's home, visiting temples, meeting monks, and engaging in traditional dances. Despite not being the athletic type and usually opting for beach destinations, I followed a strange calling to visit Bhutan, driven by recurring dreams of prayer flags. The trip's highlight was hiking up to Tiger's Nest. Surprisingly, during this hike, a monk's unexpected words left me in tears, forging a strange yet emotional connection. This experience, although unconventional for me, symbolized the profound impact travel can have in pushing one out of their comfort zone and opening door to unexpected self-discovery and spiritual encounters.
Travel Tip: For all: don't overpack! Focus on versatile clothing items that can be mixed and matched, and don't forget essentials like your passport. For families: book a resort with a kids' club as it provides children with engaging activities and a way to make friends while allowing parents to relax and enjoy their vacation knowing their kids are entertained and well-supervised.
How Do You Define Luxury Travel? Luxury travel is more than just fancy hotels and high-end amenities; it's about top-notch personalized service. It's about creating memories that last forever through tailored adventures, cultural immersion, and unforgettable moments that align comfort, sophistication, and fun.
If Your Personality Was Depicted in a Property, Which Would You Be? I think I give off those laid-back yet luxurious Rosewood Little Dix Bay vibes. Known for its understated elegance and a sense of adventure on the pristine shores of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, the iconic beachfront resort mirrors my pride in embodying quiet luxury while also being able to create a good time. With its offerings of both relaxation and exploration, it perfectly encapsulated a mix of beach-loving tranquility and an eagerness for new experiences - qualities that I cherish. My personal motto, "always say yes to the boat," is directly in line with the amazing island hopping they offer.
