Travel. It’s all I talk about, all I dream about, all I want to do…and it’s been this way for most of my life! Add to that my genuine love for the planning process and it seems launching Beyond Borders was a pre-ordained path for me.
Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world, losing myself in destinations like Morocco, Greece, and Thailand…but it was my time studying in Spain during high school that really cemented my passion for exploration. Living somewhere I didn’t speak the language yet found ways to communicate. Sampling authentic cuisine and discovering a history and culture very different from my little bubble of home in Houston, Texas. In my opinion, there’s nothing better!
Fast forward a few years and I’ve experienced the world in the most wonderful ways. I’m talking about watching real sumo wrestling at a tournament in Japan, dining with the owners of a Moroccan riad in the desert town of Ouarzazate and dancing through the streets of London at Notting Hill Carnival.
Now married with two sons, I’m passionate about making my children global citizens. Through travel, my husband and I can expose them to cultures and perspectives a million miles from their own. Travel has shaped who I am today, and I can see it making an impression on my sons. Today, it’s an absolute pleasure to be able to guide my clients as they look to shape their own families in the same way – through the never-ending gift of travel.
In addition to my talent and passion for planning (I was an event planner for many years prior to launching Beyond Borders, and a self-proclaimed perfectionist) I am above all else a people person. I love meeting new people and getting to know them intimately. It’s how I manage to create truly personalized itineraries for my clients, and I enjoy every step of the process.
Next up on my bucket list? South Africa with my family, for its wildlife, landscapes and ancient culture. And for you? Well, we’ll take you anywhere you want to go.
